That lady bird would be lady = bean bird = ean or some concoction like that but no the beautiful word for ladybird in irish is ‘boin De’, translated to ‘God’s little cows’. Emphasisying again how precious they are to our environment and the spiritual beauty of Irish connecting us to the natural landscape.
